36th Wing command change tentatively scheduled for June 19

ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam – The 36th Wing at Andersen Air Force Base will welcome a new commander this June following an announcement by the Department of Defense on March 7.

The current 36th Wing Commander, Brig. Gen. Steven D. Garland, will become the Vice Commander of 14th Air Force, a numbered air force under Air Force Space Command based at Vandenberg AFB, Calif.

Col. Andrew J. Toth, who has been selected for the grade of brigadier general, will become the 36th Wing Commander. Toth is currently serving as the director of assignments and air expeditionary force operations at the Air Force Personnel Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas.

The change of command is tentatively scheduled for June 19th. More details and related media opportunities will be announced closer to the event date.
