(Tuesday, July 7, 2015 – Tumon, Guam) The third annual Pleasure Island Guam BBQ Block Party has been rescheduled and returns to Tumon in celebration of Guam’s Liberation on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

With mouthwatering barbecue cuisine, the aroma of this incredible culinary and cultural event is sure to bring the local community together and enrich Guam's visitor experience! The GVB signature event will showcase Guam’s unique BBQ styles with various cuisines and local delicacies, along with different food vendors and local goods from artisans throughout the island. Additionally, live art, music and entertainment will be featured at the block party of the summer.

The Micronesian Chefs' Association has also partnered with GVB for the highlighted BBQ competition between local and international teams, with over $4,000 in prize money up for grabs. GVB has confirmed the participation of two international chefs from Korea and Taiwan, who will compete with several local teams to include 2014 Guam BBQ Block Party Champion Grillmasters, Asu Smokehouse. Delicious BBQ from the competitors will be available to sample and for purchase at the block party.
