TELL USO SURVEY
Thru Oct. 2. The USO is asking service members and their families to participate in an annual online survey to help determine what areas of USO support are most valuable to our military and their families. The Tell USO survey takes about 10 minutes to complete, and participants who complete it are entered in a drawing for a $500 Visa gift card. The survey is online at www.TellUSO.org. DOD networks may block certain websites. The survey can also be accessed via a link at a USO Center or civilian network.
WAR IN THE PACIFIC NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK JUNIOR RANGER ACADEMY PROGRAMS
Every Saturday during October. Free. 7th and 8th graders are eligible to join, but must register in order to participate. To sign up, download a registration packet at http://www.nps.gov/wapa/forkids/junior-ranger-academy.htm or pick up a packet at the T. Stell Newman Visitor Center in Sumay. You must submit the forms and a $20 refundable deposit by Sept. 26. Space is limited. Registered participants who complete at least four of the many programs will become Junior Rangers and receive an official Junior Ranger badge and certificate. Visit the T. FREE CELL PHONE TOUR
The tour allows visitors to listen to narratives and historic recordings on their phones while exploring the former battlefields at Asan Beach, enjoying the panoramic views of Asan Bay Overlook, discovering the Japanese coastal defense guns at Piti Guns and bunker at Fonte Plateau, and learning about the beach strategy at Ga'an and Apaca Points. The audio narration is available in both English and Japanese. In addition to the audio narration, smartphone users can also view pictures that help bring a visual aspect to the tour. TARAGUE INTERPRETIVE TRAIL   
The Seaward Leg of the Tarague Interpretive Trail System is now cleared and tagged for navigation. Enjoy hiking a flat, 3-mile roundtrip trail to see the coastline of Tarague, the native plants and limestone forest, the coconut plantations of the past and historic latte stones. At the end of the trail, find Tarague Well No. 4 and take a short point-of-interest tour of a freshwater sinkhole that was modified during the early development of Andersen. The trail is open 7 days a week during daylight hours. Call for details

The YES Program is an on-base youth volunteer program funded by the Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) and jointly administered by AFAS and Air Force Family Member Programs Flight. This program offers high school-aged dependents of Active Duty Air Force members an opportunity to learn valuable work skills while having a positive impact on their base communities. YES allows all certified and enrolled high school students to “bank” volunteer dollar credits toward their post-secondary education/training.
