U.S. Naval Hospital (USNH) Guam in partnership with Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Guam will host the second annual Family Health Fair at the U.S. Naval Base Charles King Fitness Center April 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The goal of the health fair is to generate health and fitness awareness to military members and their families.

During this event more than 40 family health topics will be presented by USNH Guam departments, Andersen Air Force Base clinic, Navy Exchange (NEX) Guam and area vendors. Booths will be informative and interactive, and will include a dietician, shoe fit clinic, TRICARE benefits advisors and the blood bank to name a few.

There will be activities for the kids, including a bouncy house, dance competition, face painting and coloring contest.

“It will surely be quality time for all members of the family,” said Lt. Serena Darity, USNH Guam registered nurse and health fair coordinator.

The NEX will host a fashion show for men, women and children’s apparel, and there will be free giveaways every hour. Guests are encouraged to dress in their active wear and participate in the various exercise demonstrations given by the MWR fitness instructors. These demonstrations include the ultimate Zumba Party which will begin at 2 pm. Admission is free and all are welcome.
