Base audiences are sure to enjoy their New Year’s celebrations as Navy Entertainment presents the Kelly Bell Band and Comedic Magician Michael Kent to Guam Dec. 31 and Jan 1.

The Kelly Bell Band was voted the Best Blues Band in the Mid-Atlantic Region for twelve years in a row. From Baltimore, Md., the band is described as an infusion of hip-hop, funk and blues.

Michael Kent is described as a sarcastic magician who has made himself a well-known entertainer on college campus circuits. Kent makes for a fresh performance that engages his audience.

Morale, Welfare and Recreation Guam Recreation Director Leslie Gould said attendees will be in for a real treat.

“I think it’s going to be the best New Year’s Eve party we’ve had for a long time,” she said. “I encourage people to come out and participate. They’re great, they love to entertain the troops, this is the kind of show that they live to do.”

The acts will make an appearance at Molly McGee’s Irish Pub on U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG) Dec. 31. The performances will start at 9 p.m. and is open to patrons ages 18 and older.

Advance tickets are required and can be claimed at the NBG Information, Tickets and Travel office located in the Charles King Fitness Center.

Those who miss the NBG showing can catch their second performances at Bamboo Willies on Andersen Air Force Base (AFB) Jan. 1. The performances will start at 4 p.m.

Both showings are free of charge. For more information about the NBG showing, call 929-6934. For more information about the Andersen AFB showing, call 653-9814.
