Military families on Andersen Air Force Base (AFB) and U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG) will be treated to performances by the children’s television sensation Imagination Movers Sept. 7 and 8.

Navy Entertainment, Navy Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Guam and the 36th Force Support Squadron (FSS) are sponsoring the award-winning, four-man band from New Orleans.

The band started by gathering after their children’s bedtimes to write songs about healthy snacks, playing catch and childhood bedtime fears.

Today, they are winners of a Daytime Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and are recognized as one of Pollstar magazine’s top 100 tours of the year.

The Imagination Movers are scheduled to perform at the Coral Reef Fitness Center on Andersen AFB Sept. 7 at 2:30 p.m. and at The Big Screen Theatre on NBG Sept. 8 at 3:30 p.m. Both shows are free of charge, however, advance tickets are required for the NBG showing and are available at the NBG Information, Tickets and Travel (ITT) office located in the Charles King Fitness Center.

The NBG MWR ITT office is open Monday- Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m and can be reached at 989-2301.
