Naval Base Guam to Hold Change of Command Ceremony

SANTA RITA, Guam – Capt. Andy Anderson will relieve Capt. Mike Ward as commanding officer of U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG) during a change of command ceremony June 20. 

The ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Tango/Uniform Wharf on NBG.

The guest speaker is retired Cmdr. Matt Miller who served in numerous positions during his career in the Navy including Operations Officer and Executive Officer at Naval Air Station in Whidbey Island, WA. He is currently serving as a city councilman in Anacortes, WA.

Anderson is reporting to Guam after serving as Executive Assistant at Navy Recruiting Command in Millington, TN.

Ward will report to U.S. Naval Forces Europe- Africa, in Naples, Italy.
