Naval Hospital Guam Public Affairs – U.S. Naval Hospital Guam Business Office is warning TRICARE Beneficiaries in the Pacific to be leery if they receive a phone survey solicitation from someone claiming to be from International SOS (ISOS).

Although ISOS is the TRICARE contractor for the Pacific region, according to Lt. j.g. Nathan Johnson of the business office, they are not currently conducting surveys and they generally do not contact beneficiaries for surveys. All surveys concerning ISOS services are performed through the TRICARE Area Office - Pacific.

"The only direct contact ISOS will have with beneficiaries is when they send notification that their care is authorized. This is typically done through an e-mail or an automated phone message," said Johnson and added, "The only time that beneficiaries usually have live conversations with ISOS is when the beneficiary calls them directly."

Beneficiaries who have been contacted by someone stating that they are from ISOS are encouraged to report this to their customer service agents, who are available around the clock, by calling Toll Free: (877) 451-8659 or the Singapore office at +(65) 6339 2676.

Those details and those who believe they may have been the victim of fraud and abuse can report this information through the TRICARE fraud and abuse website by going to http://www.tricare-overseas.com/Fraud.html
