PEARL HARBOR – Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific announced today the 45-day public comment period for new information associated with a proposed project at Naval Base Guam, Telecommunications Site (NBGTS) in support of the Marine Corps Realignment.
Comments are being accepted for the Department of Defense’s (DoD) identification and evaluation of historic properties and its determination of effect for J001B: Finegayan Utilities and Site Improvements Phase 1 (PA Memo #1). The comment period will remain open through Nov. 17, 2014 (Chamorro Standard Time).
This memo provides an expanded project description, which differs slightly from the previous memo initially released on Aug. 22.
J-001B proposes the first phase of required utilities and site improvements at NBGTS, should NBGTS be the selected alternative for construction of a cantonment area to support the Guam and Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Military Relocation.
Information regarding the proposed project is available to the public for a 45-day public comment period.
