UPDATE: Route 16 Road Repairs

SANTA RITA, Guam (Feb. 3, 2015) – The traffic lanes on the north and southbound lanes of Route 16 in the vicinity of Commercial Tire in Barrigada will be repainted from Feb. 7-8, as Navy contractors conduct road striping.

Motorists traveling north and southbound are advised to follow all posted signs and speed limits to ensure safety. Motorists may experience minor traffic fluctuations, with intermittent one-lane closures.

Crews will lay out traffic control, striping and pavement markers and work on the northbound lanes Saturday morning, Feb. 7, and work on the southbound lanes in the afternoon.  Crews will finish the work on southbound lanes on Sunday.  Work is expected to start from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m., Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday. 

Schedules and repair activities are subject to change as weather or other conditions permit. The public is encouraged to stay tuned to local media for updates.
