U.S. Naval Base Guam Big Screen Offers Varieties Of Entertainment
The Big Screen theater on U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG) fulfills a number of needs of the base and its patrons through Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Guam.
Though the 900-seat theater is charged with providing motion picture entertainment to ashore and afloat units and their families, the facility also serves as the stage for many ceremonies and productions for NBG.
From hosting Disney’s Imagination Movers to setting the stage for pinning ceremonies as well as the Missoula Children’s theater, The Big Screen theater can do it all.
“Patrons can reserve The Big Screen theater for birthday parties, private movie showings or for dance recitals, shows and training,” said MWR Guam Recreation Director Leslie Gould.
Gould said the movies and showings are provided by Navy Motion Picture Service and are available in digital and 3-D format.
Friday movie showtimes are at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday showtimes are 1, 3:30 and 7 p.m.. Students can enjoy special matinees offered during summer and winter breaks.
