U.S. Naval Hospital Guam main gate to re-open April 18
AGANA HEIGHTS, GUAM (April 16, 2015) - The main gate for U.S. Naval Hospital Guam is scheduled to reopen Saturday, April 18. Drivers coming up the hill from Route 6 are advised to use caution so they do not drive past their turn. Following the change, the entry for the main gate will be after the entry for the Veterans Affairs Clinic and before the entry for the temporary main gate that is being closed. Signs will be posted on the roadside to help remind patrons of the change.
The hospital appreciates your patience and understanding for this transition as there may be delays due to the onset of this change. The Naval Hospital main gate is manned by Naval Base Guam (NBG) Security personnel. Please direct all questions regarding this gate to NBG Public Affairs Office at 339-2664. Currently, the pass and ID office located at USNH Guam Main Gate will remain open with its current hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and on all federal holidays.
The hospital's main gate was closed previously in order to provide contractors access to the construction site so as to not interfere with hospital traffic. As the contractors are nearing conclusion of the construction, the switch indicates the compound is on its way to full completion.
NBG Security wants to remind patrons that a 100 percent ID check is enforced on all military installations and posted base speed limits are between 5 to 15 miles per hour on the Naval Hospital compound The Naval Hospital main gate will be open 24 hours.
