PARADE INFO:
The Guam Liberation Historical Society and the 72nd Guam Liberation Executive Committee proudly presents the “72nd Liberation Day Parade” on Thursday July 21st, 2016 at 9:00am on Route 1 Marine Corps Drive in the City of Hagatna.  The directional flow of the parade will be from Adelup toward Paseo De Susanna.  A Total of 76 entries have registered to partake in this year’s Annual parade. 
 
Tune in to PBS Guam KGTF Channel 12 on Thursday, July 21 starting at 9:00 AM– and online at www.pbsguam.org – to watch the exclusive broadcast of Guam’s 72nd Liberation Day Parade LIVE from the heart of Marine Corps Drive, Hagatna.
 
Each Liberation Day, July 21st, our island community focuses its attention to mark this historic event and remember and honor the courage and sacrifice of those who died so that we might have the many freedoms that we enjoy today.  
 
Important Notice:  From 6 a.m. to about 5 p.m. Thursday, July 21st, 2016 the parade route from Paseo to Adelup will be closed to traffic for safety reasons.  The public is advised to seek alternative routes that day.
 
Please me mindful and cautious of those camping along either side of the parade route and drive carefully and attentively.

FIREWORKS INFO:
The Guam Liberation Historical Society and the 72nd Guam Liberation Executive Committee proudly presents the “72nd Liberation Celebration Fireworks Spectacular” Thursday, July 21st, 2016 at the Liberation Carnival Grounds in Tiyan, Barrigada.  There will be two (2) shows.   8:00pm “The 72nd Liberation Fireworks Family Show” (Early Show) then at 10:00pm “The 72nd Liberation Celebration Fireworks Spectacular” (Main Show) 
 
Fireworks Company:  ShowPros Pyro.   
***IMPORTANT Public Notices:  Due to the size and scope of the show to include firing locations throughout the Tiyan carnival grounds several roads will be closed starting at 3:00pm on Thursday the 21st and will not reopen till 11:00pm that night!  For your safety, please be cautious and alert of posted signs and notices.
 
*** FOR YOUR SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS, DO NOT PARK OR BLOCK THE GFD ACCESS AREA BY THE TIYAN SOCCER FIELD. ***TRESPASSING ONTO THE SECURE ZONES AND MARKED SAFETY DISTANCES WILL RESULT IN THE DELAY OF THE SHOW AND POSSIBLE CANCELLATION.

SAFETY INFO:
***We kindly advise that all those wishing to visit the Carnival to not park at the U.S. Post Office (It is reserved for USPS Employees and Customers) or along Route 16 for your safety and the safety of your vehicle.   There is ample parking in the Carnival Grounds as well as Parking and Grounds Security.  
 
***We also advise that you do not block driveways, or stop on the roadways or impede the flow of traffic.
