ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam – On the occasion of Veterans Day, leaders from the 36th Wing and tenant units will attend a wreath laying ceremony, 10:30 a.m., on Nov. 11, at the Governor’s headquarters in Adelup, Guam.

Service members will remember and celebrate their fellow veterans, men and women of uncommon valor and shared purpose, who have selflessly devoted themselves to patriotism, love of country and sacrifice for the common good.

The ceremony will also honor Tech. Sgt. David K. Sartin, of the 36th Mobility Response Squadron, who has been nominated as Team Andersen’s Veteran of the Year.

The Veteran’s Administration estimates that there are currently 3.5 million Air Force veterans living in the United States and abroad. These American Airmen represent our proud heritage of Service Before Self -- the foundation that binds our veterans together through the decades.
