GRMC will begin providing care at the new hospital on an outpatient basis starting Wednesday afternoon. This is the beginning of a gradual activation of services that will be launched in the coming weeks.
The initial services include specialty consultation and procedures, as well as laboratory and imaging services.

Operating hours will be from 1 to 5pm on July 1st; 8 to 5pm on July 2nd and July 6th.

Starting on Tuesday July 7th GRMC will expand services to include inpatient elective care. Emergency services will be available soon after.

The announcement comes after various GovGuam agencies granted the necessary permissions to allow for patient services to begin.

CEO Margaret Bengzon said “GRMC is extremely grateful to the Guam Fire Department, the Guam Department of Public Works, Guam Public Health, Guam EPA and all the other GovGuam agencies which have helped lead us to this point.”

“We thank them for their hard work and guidance which has ensured that our hospital is safe and ready to serve the people of Micronesia.”
