"Sharing, preserving and promoting our culture through music and art" is what the Hafa Adai Festival of Arts (HAFA) is all about. It is our first annual HAFA event and since we didn't have enough time to put together the festival that we envisioned, we are launching it with a two-day concert event along with art booths, food vendors and a food truck alley.

The event will be held Nov. 4-5 at the Guam Greyhound Park.

The day 1 event, which is titled "Island Roots," consists of local artists, artists who have ties to the island and also from our outer islands. The lineup consists of Chris Boomer, The Dolls, Tribal Theory, Maoli and of course Fiji, who will be featuring one of our local talents Leah Fejerang. Day 2, "The iNvaZion," consists of artists who have never been here, with the majority coming out of New Zealand. We have JAHBOY (Solomon Islands), Sammielz (Australia), Conkarah (Jamaica), Tomorrow People (NZ) and of course the most requested and awaited band, House of Shem.

Our vision and goal is to provide a platform for local artists, whether it be singers, dancers, painters, or carvers to showcase their talents on the mainland or other islands.

Fiji, who recorded a track with Leah (will be released at event), is taking her on tour with him so she will be out there putting Guam on the map.

Tickets are on sale with one-day passes going for $40 ($45 at the door), while the two-day pass is $75 ($85).
