National Organization of Chamorro Veterans in America Conference 2014
National Organization of Chamorro Veterans in America (NOCVA) will be holding its first national conference in Washington, D.C., September 19-21, 2014 (hotel location and information to be announced).
The conference will provide a national-level platform and venue for Chamorro* military veterans and their families living throughout the 50 states, Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands to discuss important and pressing issues that impact our communities. Active duty military members are welcome to attend and participate in the conference.
Tentative Conference Program:
Friday, 19 September – Meet and Greet at hotel, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, 20 September – Business Sessions and Speaker Series, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, 21 September – Celebrate Mass and make brief Visits to the Korean War, World War II, Vietnam War and Women Veterans War Memorials
Membership: While NOCVA was established to organize and help Chamorro veterans throughout our nation, membership is open to non-veterans and anyone interested in our organization
What’s Next: NOCVA will send detailed information and updates once hotel facilities and registration information become available
