Upper Tumon, (August 19, 2015) – Nissan Motor Corp in Guam donated $10,000 to assist in Typhoon Soudelor victims in Saipan. Van Shelly, President and CEO said: “Our staff and management feel close to Saipan because we interact with Joeten Motors, Inc. management and employees almost daily as their distributor of Nissan vehicles. We feel for the people of Saipan who lost so much due to Typhoon Soudelor and felt that we should offer some assistance quickly.“

Nissan Guam staff and management presented $5,000 to the Rotary Clubs of Guam and $5,000 to the Joeten Daidai Foundation, each of which will coordinate relief efforts in the CNMI.

The Rotary Clubs on Guam have teamed up with the Rotary Club of Saipan and Ace Hardware to provide needed supplies to victims at cost for qualified families and individuals to help rebuild their homes. We are grateful for this fruitful collaboration that will make the financial assistance channeled through Rotary go further thanks to Ace Hardware’s generous offer to sell at cost.
