TUMON – The Guam Chamber of Commerce proudly announced Pika’s Café as the recipient of this year’s Small Business Excellence Award during the 12th Annual Small Business Expo event at the Hyatt Regency Guam.

“The Chamber is pleased to present its 12th Annual Small Business Excellence Award honoring a member company that has made a noteworthy contribution to the growth of small business in Guam for their firm commitment and extensive effort put forth by strongly supporting our local community,” said James “Jerry” Paulino, Small Business Focus & Development Committee Chairman. “Pika’s Café, owned and operated by Pika and Lenny Fejeran, exemplifies excellence in its commitment to good and ethical business practices, its involvement and support of local culture and its support of local farmers by purchasing freshly grown local produce used in preparing their variety of dishes. Pika’s Cafe is well deserving of this award especially in their devotion for the local community as evidenced through their participation in numerous community events.”

“Pika’s Café is a respected member of the business community and they promote a strong cultural and friendly working environment. They support a community-based concept in the food they prepare, in the atmosphere of their restaurant and in the causes they support. Their dedication to “buy and support local” promotes culture and local talent on a regular basis,”

said Guam Chamber of Commerce President Catherine Castro. “Their personal commitment to provide a quality food service experience while continuing to promote other small businesses sets a great example for others to follow.”

The presentation took place during the Chamber’s Annual Small Business Expo, an event of the Small Business Focus & Development Committee, which featured close to forty (40) member exhibitors and also offered a Seminar on “Making the Connection” featuring local and federal government entities.”
