SANTA RITA, Guam (Nov. 7, 2018) – A Regional Assessment (RASS) is scheduled to be conducted on U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG) Nov. 13-16.

RASS is part of Commander Naval Installation Command's (CNIC) Navy security force shore assessment and certification cycle. A team from Joint Region Marianas will review all aspects of the installation's emergency services.

During the assessment, there may be increased traffic around base and delays in base access as the Force Protection Condition (FPCON) may be elevated. Employees, residents, and patrons of NBG are advised to plan accordingly and to monitor NBG social media for updates.

As part of the assessment, the NBG Giant Voice (GV) system will be activated, and residents in surrounding areas of the GV speakers will hear announcements.
