Fresh catch of Guam: Seafood Chef
Sure, seafood from off Guam’s shores is great. Unfortunately, lack of consistent availability prevents it from appearing on the menus of most big-name restaurants. Not to worry. We’ve got you covered.
Stripes Guam cast its nets far and wide to come up with a couple of eateries that proudly serve up fresh locally caught fish and seafood daily.
According to Guam Visitors Bureau, these are the island’s only two eateries that have fresh fish and seafood on display from which customers can choose exactly what they want prepared for their meal.
Ask them what’s local when you are dinning there, or when you call in your reservations.
This restaurant boasts one of the island’s largest selection of fish and seafood to choose from – both local and imported. After you make your choice, they’ll prepare it according to your preference.
“Ask us anytime for our recommendations – regarding both our selection of fish as well as the best way to prepare it,” said Koichi Takai, Seafood Chef’s general manager.
During lunchtime, there are a variety entrees prepared by the skillful chefs at reasonable prices to choose from.
For dinner, Seafood Chef offers a several seafood choices. Their locally caught specialty dishes include deep fried dapa crab with black bean sauce as well as steamed lapu lapu with soy sauce, ginger and onion.
“We can serve 14 seafood dishes in an instance and we offer lobsters for very reasonable prices,” Takai said. “I am sure that you will enjoy the best seafood on Guam at our restaurant.”
Another option at Seafood Chef is an all-you-can-eat buffet, featuring fish and seafood dishes, sashimi, sushi a salad bar and more. The buffet is an option for both lunch and dinner.
The spacious restaurant is also able to host large functions with numerous family members, friends or coworkers. Party rooms are available for birthdays or other celebrations.
