Fire Capt. San Nicolas retires after 25 years

SANTA RITA, Guam (Dec. 29, 2016) -- Friends and family gathered at Fire Station 1, U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG) to honor the 25 years of dedicated and loyal service of Capt. Steve San Nicolas in a morning retirement ceremony. Capt. Hans Sholley, NBG Commanding Officer presided over the ceremony. San Nicolas started his service with NBG Fire and Emergency Services in September 1991, and was assigned most recently to Fire Station 4. San Nicolas was thanked for his outstanding performance as a leader and mentor and his supervisory roles in the Fire Department's Prevention and Protection, Personal Protective Equipment and the Scott Self-contained Breathing Apparatus Technician programs.
