Frank Cable returns from Indo-Asia-Pacific region deployment
SANTA RITA, Guam -- Petty Officer 3rd Class Jared Braginton-Smith, a native of Cape Cod, Mass., assigned to the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40) spots his wife on the pier, as the ship pulls into Naval Base Guam after completing a five-month deployment. Frank Cable departed Guam June 6, was a persistent presence throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific region during its deployment providing vital flexibility to the fleet commanders, extending the range and impact of U.S. naval forces in the U.S. Navy's 5th and 7th Fleets. Forward deployed to Guam, Frank Cable's combined Navy and Military Sealift Command crew's mission is to provide critical war fighting repairs, rearment and reprovisioning to deployed Naval Forces of the United States.
