Spotlight on USS Frank Cable: Electrician's Mate 1st Class Oswaldo Suarezsanchez
SUBIC BAY, Philippines -- Electrician's Mate 1st Class Oswaldo Suarezsanchez, a native of Port Hueneme, California, assigned to the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), is presented his Certificate of Appointment to first class petty officer by Capt. Drew St. John, Frank Cable's commanding officer, Sep. 13. Suarezsanchez was advanced as part of the Command Advancement Program that allows certain commanding officers to advance eligible personnel to the next pay grade without reference to higher authority. Frank Cable is one of two forward-deployed submarine tenders and is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to conduct maintenance and support of deployed U.S. naval force submarines and surface vessels in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
