Frank Cable Weapons Department conducts gun shoots
Gunner’s Mate Seaman Tailik Taylor, assigned to the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), hangs targets in preparation for a gun shoot on Naval Base Guam, Feb. 16.
Sailors participate in gun qualifications periodically to ensure weapon readiness with the M4 Rifle, 9mm pistol and 12 gauge shot gun.
Frank Cable is one of two forward-deployed submarine tenders in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations and conducts maintenance and support of deployed U.S. naval force submarines and surface vessels in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
