War in the Pacific National Historical Park will host a commemorative vigil commemorating the 77th anniversary of the occupation of Guam by Japanese troops. The vigil will take place at Asan Bay Overlook on Nimitz Hill at 5:30 pm on Friday, Dec 7, 2018.

The public is encouraged to participate in the event by telling stories of loved ones who died or suffered as the result of the Japanese occupation of Guam during World War II. Anyone may share stories dedicated to Guam’s Chamorro residents and American military service members. All ages are welcome.
