3rd annual Guam BBQ Block Party postponed!
Please be advised that due to anticipated inclement weather the Guam BBQ Block Party, previously scheduled for this weekend (Saturday, July 4, 2015) has been postponed. Once a new date is determined, we will notify the public.
TUMON– The third annual Pleasure Island Guam BBQ Block Party returns to Tumon in celebration of the 4th of July on Saturday from 5:30pm to 10:00pm.
3rd annual Pleasure Island Guam BBQ Block Party Event Information
With tantalizingly delicious barbecue cuisine, the aroma of this incredible culinary and cultural event is sure to entice the local community to join in the celebration and enrich the Guam's visitor experience of the Håfa Adai Spirit! The event will showcase Guam’s unique BBQ styles with a wide variety of cuisines and delicious local delicacies, along with various food vendors, and local goods from artisans throughout the island. In addition, local cultural performances and live music will be featured in this GVB signature event.
The highlight of the event is the BBQ competition organized by the Micronesian Chefs’ Association (MCA). With over $4,000 in prize money up for grabs, the competition between local and international teams is fierce. Delicious BBQ from the competitors will be available for purchase at the block party.
This event is free and open to the public. Event organizers expect thousands of participants will turn out for this event.
Road Closure Notice
San Vitores Road in Tumon from the crosswalk between UnderWater World and T-Galleria by DFS to the traffic light in front of the entrance to SandCastle will be closed on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 3:00 a.m, to ensure safety of event participants.
