Auditions for A Day at the Museum: Preservation in Action May 9 & 10
Pacific Historic Parks, along with their partners the Senator Antonio M. Palomo Guam Museum & CHamoru Educational Facility (Guam Museum), the Department of CHamoru Affairs, and War in the Pacific National Historical Park, are excited to announce open auditions for high school students for the museum theater service-learning project Day at the Museum: Preservation in Action.
A Day at the Museum: Preservation in Action encourages the island youth, their families, and the
community to engage with the stories of people during World War II on Guam. This cultural, historical, and student-centered project supports a distinct set of learning and skill-development objectives for youth ages
13 to19 years old, fulfills the GDOE Service-Learning requirements, and provides a creative avenue to convey the experience of Guam's personal stories of survival, triumph, peace, and forgiveness in World War II.
What: Open Auditions for Actors, Singers, Dancers, Musicians and call for Backstage Crew
Who: All High School Students (including incoming freshmen, SY 2019-2020 and outgoing seniors, SY 2018-2019)
When: Thursday, May 9, 2019 2:00-4:30 pm or Friday, May 10, 2:00-4:30 pm
Where: Guam Museum Indoor Theater
Why: To perform in July during the 75th Liberation festivities at various locations around the island including the Guam Museum Indoor Theater and the T. Stell Newman Visitor Center.
Preferred: Prepared 2-3 minute monologue (memorization optional) Sample monologues will also be available for you to read
Preferred: Up to 16 bars or one minute of a song with accompaniment
A small selection of songs will be available
