GUAM, UNITED STATES (November 2018) – Hyatt Regency Guam® is excited to announce the return of the Holiday Gingerbread House - a spectacular, life-sized gingerbread house surrounded by a festive wonderland in the hotel’s lobby. A special Gingerbread Housewarming event will take place on December 4, 2018 where the hotel will officially turn the key and open the stunning Holiday display.
The official ceremony commences at 5:30 PM where guests will experience the lighting of Hyatt’s new 30-foot Christmas tree and see the Holiday Gingerbread House open. Guests are welcome to arrive as early as 4:00 PM to decorate the gingerbread house with star shaped cookies. All proceeds from the star cookies purchased will once again go towards the charity efforts of Make-A-Wish® Guam and CNMI. The evening will also include entertainment from Guam Symphony and La Danse Studio, a variety of holiday activities as well as an appearance by Santa Claus! The Gingerbread Housewarming event is open to all ages and admission is free.
Also, to celebrate the opening of the Holiday display on December 4, children aged 6-11 years are invited to eat free for dinner at Café Kitchen or Niji Japanese Restaurant (conditions apply).
The tradition of the Holiday Gingerbread House started in 2011 when the talented Hyatt engineers and pastry chefs collaborated to construct the island’s largest gingerbread house. The magical 12-foot tall house will consist of approximately 400 freshly baked gingerbread bricks, 800 pounds of royal icing and will be adorned in festive candies, cookies, and sweets.
The Holiday display at Hyatt Regency Guam® will be open to the public until January 7, 2019.
