AGANA HEIGHTS, Guam - Military leaders joined Guam for the Hasso Mañenggon memorial ceremony at the Government House in Agana Heights, Aug. 9, 2026. The ceremony honored the island’s war survivors with a flower tribute and traditional bongbong ceremony, where war survivors poured water into a basin to honor the suffering and resilience of CHamoru people forced into the Mañenggon concentration camp by Japanese forces in 1944.
