Military and Guam Police to conduct training at Outer Apra Harbor, Open-Ocean, Radio Barrigada, Farallon de Medinilla

SANTA RITA, Guam (Oct. 18, 2019) – The U.S. Navy will conduct training from 3-9 p.m. Oct. 21 in Outer Apra Harbor.

The U.S. Navy will conduct open-ocean exercises from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 22-23 within a 10-nautical-mile radius of the following coordinates: 13˚26''N/145˚08''E, 13˚42''N/144˚36''E.

It is recommended the general public, fishermen and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories.

The Guam Police Department will conduct training from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 21-22 and Oct. 24-25 at Radio Barrigada.

The U.S. Air Force will conduct training from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the island of Farallon de Medinilla.

This training supports aircrew combat readiness and is critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free and open Indo-Pacific.

The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be within a 12-nautical-mile radius of the island, located in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
