by Commander, Joint Region Marianas
U.S. Navy

ASAN, Guam (April 23, 2015) – The military will conduct training in Agat Bay April 27 from 1- 4 p.m.

Agat Bay is contained within the following coordinates: 13° 23"N/144° 35"E.

These trainings are designed to enhance the training and readiness of military personnel. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity associated with the trainings.

The Navy will also conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla May 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The general public, especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators are advised to stay clear of the areas during the dates and times indicated.

The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10-nautical mile radius on all quadrants. Farallon de Medinilla plays a special and unique role in national defense because its location provides frequent access that supports established training requirements. In addition, the air and sea space in the Farallon provides sufficient room for the many different attack profiles necessary to replicate training opportunities in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
