NCHB 1 performs cargo lift

SANTA RITA, Guam (June 26, 2019) - Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Esteban Reyes Feliz (left), a native of Lincoln Park, Michigan, and Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Owen Smith (right), a native of Vernal Utah, assigned to Navy Cargo Handling Battalion (NCHB) 1, Det. Guam, lash down a combination module aboard the Military Sealift Command maritime prepositioning force ship USNS 2nd Lt. John P. Bobo (T-AK 3008). NCHB-1, Detachment Guam, assigned to Navy Expeditionary Forces Command Pacific, is the Navy’s only active duty cargo handling battalion. They are a rapidly deployable unit of the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, capable of loading and discharging ships and aircraft in all-climatic and threat conditions.
