Orange the World Nov. 25 - Dec. 10: 16 Days of Activism to end gender-based violence

Guam Bureau of Women's Affairs and the Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault & Family Violence

Guam Bureau of Women's Affairs and the Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence presents the international campaign: 16 days of activism to end gender-based violence.

Wear something orange – a garment or a ribbon, for example, to show your commitment to ending violence against women, girls, and all marginalized persons.

Ways to get involved:

  • Know the Hotline! Victim Advocates Reaching Out (VARO), Guam’s 24-hour domestic violence hotline number, is 671-477-5552. Have it on your phone — you never know when someone you know might need it;
  • Volunteer with VARO, Erica’s House, Alee Shelter, or another local non-profit organization that helps women and persons aected by gender-based violence;
  • Be an advocate on social media by using the hashtag, #orangetheworld;
  • Learn more about women’s rights, bodily autonomy, and gender violence;
  • Donate to an organization that supports victims of gender-based violence; and
  • Learn how to spot the signs of gender-based violence.

From awareness to accountability, Orange your world!
