(Monday, October 1, 2018) — Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) welcomed locally established, owned and managed Synergy Studios Guam, Synergy Wellness Guam, and Purebred BJJ Guam as the newest members of the Håfa Adai Pledge program on September 28, 2018, at the Synergy Studios Guam building in Hagåtña. The companies pledged their commitment to embody the Håfa Adai Spirit and hospitality in how they promote fitness and wellness for their local and international clientele. Clare Calvo, representative of Synergy Studios Guam and Synergy Wellness Guam, shared how Synergy’s holistic approach to bettering health and self mirrors the spirit of Inafa’maolek through the services they offer -- Cryotherapy, Cupping Therapy, John of God Crystal Bed Healing and Normatec Pulse Recovery.

During the ceremony, Stephen Roberto, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu third-degree black belt and owner of Purebred BJJ Guam, spoke about Purebred BJJ’s partnership with Synergy Studios and Synergy Wellness. Roberto noted how all three companies naturally incorporated culture into their operations as a demonstration of their love for the island. As Håfa Adai Pledge members, Synergy Studios Guam, Synergy Wellness Guam, and Purebred BJJ Guam are dedicated to perpetuating the cultural identity of Guam’s people.
