United Tows the Line to save lives for 12th Year June 24

GUAM, June 20, 2017 – The 12th Annual United Plane Pull – Towing the Line to Save Lives will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the United hangar in Tiyan. Proceeds from team registration fees will directly benefit the American Cancer Society and Guam Cancer Care. 
 
Forty-three teams in the male and co-ed divisions will compete to pull a United Boeing 737 aircraft — 129 feet long, 41 feet high and 124 feet wide, weighing a total of 145,000 pounds — 12 feet in the fastest time to be named the 2017 United Plane Pull Champion.
 
This family-friendly event is open to the public. Family and friends can cheer on the teams as they support the fight against cancer. In addition to the competition, the event will feature a parade of teams, cancer survivors and warriors, food concessions, local entertainment as well as family fun activities.

Time: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
