30th COVID-19-related death reported on Guam

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s thirtieth COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) Sept. 17 at approximately 1:37 a.m. (ChST). The patient was a 72-year-old male and had underlying health conditions.

The Senate on Thursday confirmed Gen. Mark Milley to be the 20th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the latest confirmation to fill several key leadership positions in the Defense Department.

New Uniform Mobile App has new name, new guidance

One of the more popular mobile applications the Navy has is the OPNAV Uniform Regulations app released in October 2017. Just like your worn out uniforms, the app needed updated. With a new name and more information, the OPNAV Uniform Regulations is now MyNavy UNIFORMS which hit app stores, July 18.

Move over sharks … It’s time to talk about bugs!

This summer, the Military Health System celebrates Bug Week from July 27 through August 2 to educate the military community and general public about bug-borne illnesses they may encounter at home and at forward-deployed operational sites.
Retired Army Capt. Ryan Kules with his wife Nancy and their children Jillian, Liv and Evan. Injured by a roadside bomb in 2005, Kules lost his right arm above the elbow and his left leg above the knee.
