30th COVID-19-related death reported on Guam

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s thirtieth COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) Sept. 17 at approximately 1:37 a.m. (ChST). The patient was a 72-year-old male and had underlying health conditions.

Airman beats cancer, completes 22nd marathon

His cancer diagnosis came as a complete surprise. After all, he had just run his 21st marathon. Other than a recent cold he was a picture of perfect health.
Senior Master Sgt. Todd Kirkwood, avionics superintendent for the 167th Airlift Wing, received the news of his diagnosis the day after Thanksgiving last year.
