GCC, FHB host 5th annual John K. Lee, Jr. 2K/5K Run/Walk on Nov. 12

The Guam Community College Foundation, First Hawaiian Bank, and the students of GCC’s Supervision and Management Personnel Supervision classes are again hosting a run for scholarships. The 5th annual John K. Lee, Jr. 2K/5K Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, November 12th at the Chamorro Village in Hagatna. Check-in time is 5:00 a.m. and race start time is 6:00 a.m. Participants can register at Hornet Sporting Goods in Tamuning. First Hawaiian Bank will also accept registrations at these locations on the following days: 
Maite: Thursday, November 9 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 3 – 6 p.m. 
Dededo: Thursday, November 9 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 3 – 6 p.m. 
Tamuning: Friday, November 10 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Entry fees are as follows:
Youth, juniors, & GCC students:   $7  (race day $10)
Adult individual: $10 (race day $15) 
Group of 4: $35 (race day $45)

Race in costume – there will be a prize for the “grooviest” outfit! Refreshments will be served, and there will be face painting and entertainment. The first 500 finishers will receive a free t-shirt, and included among the many raffle prizes is one United Economy roundtrip ticket from Guam to Micronesia, Asia, or Manila.
Proceeds from this 5K will directly benefit GCC students in the form of scholarships in honor of the late John K. Lee Jr., former First Hawaiian Bank Guam and CNMI Senior Vice President/ Region Supervisor and GCC Foundation board member.
