GCC high school STEEP engages students in sustainability

If your high schooler is at all interested in science and technology, invest $300 in his or her education through the GCC Sustainable Technologies and Environmental Education Program this summer. This three-week program runs from May 30 – June 21 at GCC, and engages students in the topic of sustainability through hands-on, interactive and innovative teaching strategies. Students will plan, construct and analyze sustainable projects such their own solar-charging product; they will learn about and make alternative pallet furniture; and they will be developing sustainable model container homes as well. What they will learn will be invaluable when they return to school in August!

The cost for the three-week course is $300.

Deadline to register is May 15, 2017. Call Francisco “Kiko” Palacios, GCC Sustainability Coordinator, at 735-5501 or 777-8080 for more information.
