(Tamuning, Guam) — Tuesday, January 20, 2026 — GTA is proud to provide a $3,000 annual sponsorship to the Rovers Girls U11 Soccer Team, supporting the team’s development and participation in both community and competitive soccer throughout the year. As part of their season, the team will represent Guam at the 9th Tokyo AF Chairman’s Cup Mini Soccer Tournament in February in Tokyo, Japan.

Robert Becker, Head Coach of Rovers U11 Girls Soccer Team, says, “This generous donation from GTA means that talented young female athletes from all backgrounds can now represent Guam on the international stage in Tokyo, regardless of their family’s financial situation. We’re deeply grateful for their commitment to ensuring that hard work and dedication—not income—determine which girls get to chase their dreams and compete at the highest level.”

“At GTA, we recognize the important role community sports play in youth development,” said Michele Catahay Perez, Director of Community Relations at GTA. “Through GTA Gives, we support programs that empower young athletes, promote healthy lifestyles, and teach values like teamwork, confidence, and resilience—on and off the field.”

Through GTA Gives, GTA continues to invest in youth and community-based initiatives that strengthen families, encourage active living, and create positive opportunities for Guam’s next generation.
