The Rodger and Hammerstein's 1949 musical, South Pacific, is based on a Pulitzer-Prize-winning novel by James A. Michener, entitled Tales of the South Pacific. South Pacific is set during the World War II and beautifully interweaves the themes of romance, racism and duty. The musical will make you laugh, cry and hum many of their catchy songs including, "Some Enchanted Evening," "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair," "Happy Talk," "Bali Ha'i," "Younger than Springtime," and "I'm in Love with a Wonderful Guy."

South Pacific is Guam High School's first musical production. The show is open to the public. There are four shows between May 26-28 at 7 p.m. and a matinee performance on Saturday, May 28 at 2 p.m.

General admission tickets can be purchased for $10 at all Guam Dodea schools (McCool, Anderson Middle and Elementary and Guam High School), Faith Bookstore, Java Junction and Marianas Electronics. Tickets can also be purchased from any cast member.
