The University of Guam will celebrate its 58th Charter Day on Thursday, March 5, 2026, under the theme “UOG Rising: A New Era of Growth, Service, and Impact.” The campus-wide event — the largest annual community gathering at UOG — will feature cultural performances, live entertainment, food vendors, campus tours, and activities for all ages.

Charter Day commemorates the anniversary of UOG’s founding and the 1968 charter that renamed the Territorial College of Guam as the University of Guam. The celebration brings together students, families, alumni, and community partners to honor UOG’s regional impact and commitment to service.
Charter Day School Tours

“Charter Day and Charter Month are more than celebrations. They reflect our mission to deliver public value, with the intent to transform lives and advance the communities we serve,” said UOG President Anita Borja Enriquez. “We invite everyone to join us in recognizing this milestone and all that UOG contributes across Guam and the region.”

Charter Day 2K/5K Run/Walk

Kick off Charter Month with movement and community spirit at the annual 2K/5K Run/Walk on Monday, March 2 at the Calvo Field House. Showtime is 5:30 a.m. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are invited to walk or run the scenic campus course, enjoy pre- and post-event activities, and earn limited-edition event T-shirts while supplies last. Blue Night: Battle of the Bands

Blue Night returns on Wednesday, March 4, from 5:30–9:30 p.m. at the Calvo Field House, with an electrifying showcase as six bands compete for the Charter Day Champion Cup and a $1,000 grand prize. Additional cash prizes and trophies will be awarded, creating a high-energy night of live music, Triton pride, and community support. President’s Cup Team Competition

Charter Month also features the 2026 President’s Cup, a spirited team competition that brings together UOG students, employees, alumni, and community members. Teams of 15 will compete in six events — including dodgeball, co-ed basketball, tug of war, volleyball, and more — for prizes and the President’s Cup title.
