From hands-free grilling to nostalgic bakeries, global street food, and sweet treats, September is stacked with openings worth checking out here on our beautiful Island. Whether you’re in the mood for skewers, shawarma, or cookies in a trolley, here’s where to eat next.

1. Mayflour II: Bakery & Café

The beloved bakery-café has expanded from Tumon to Hagåtña, opening Mayflour II in the former Cup & Saucer location. Expect the same buttery pastries and rich coffee locals love, with plans to add salads, pastas, and bread-focused lunch specials soon. The spot is already becoming a favorite for nearby office workers and anyone chasing that “freshly baked bread meets coffee” aroma. A little nostalgia, a little new flavor—definitely worth a stop.

2. Provisions Wine & Cheese

Beyond being a perfect snack, the vibrant packaging makes these cookies an easy go-to for gifts. Don’t forget to snap a photo with the fun Island Cookie Story trolley while you’re there!

4. Yongle Restaurant

From Saipan to Guam, Chef Yiqun Su brings 35 years of culinary experience to Yongle Restaurant in Harmon Industrial Park. Currently in soft opening, Yongle specializes in Chinese dishes crafted with care and is still refining its final menu based on customer favorites. Expect classics with bold flavors, hearty portions, and the promise of more as they officially launch this later this month (September).

5. Tumon Skewer House

Guam’s first hands-free, smokeless skewer grill has arrived! At Tumon Skewer House, you can sit back and relax while your skewers cook to perfection right at your table—no smoke, no fuss, all flavor. Skewers start at just $2.99, and the menu is stacked with everything from meats and veggies to seafood options. Pair it with draft beer, beer towers, sake, or wine for a lively night out in Tumon.

6. Dokkoon Thai

Yigo has a new Thai food destination: Dokkoon Thai. Freshly opened near KFC, this spot is already making waves for its flavorful dishes, from curries to stir-fries. Just a heads up—it’s still in soft opening, which means cash only and longer wait times is expected.

Pro tip: call ahead or order takeout if you’re short on time. For authentic Thai food lovers, it’s worth the wait.

7. Asorti

For something different, head to Asorti, a new Tamuning food truck serving the flavors of Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Think crispy samosas, juicy chicken shawarma, and traditional Osh pilaf rice with tender beef. The portions are generous, the flavors bold, and the vibe feels like a foodie discovery. Still in its early stages, Asorti already has fans raving—it’s one of those trucks you’ll want to revisit again and again.
