Yona, Guam, February 25, 2026 - LeoPalace Resort Guam announces the official closing of Tenku Yuzen on Saturday, February 28, making way for an exciting new culinary chapter. Beginning Sunday, March 1, at 5:00 PM, the resort proudly unveils OKIBI, a bold new Asian dining concept inspired by the glow of open embers and the vibrant energy of street cuisine across Asia.

OKIBI serves up Asian street-food inspired dishes alongside elevated yakiniku, premium meat selections, and fresh seafood entrées - all designed to be shared and savored. The concept blends the lively spirit of street markets with a refined resort atmosphere.

The kitchen is led by newly promoted Sous Chef Thomas Diaz, who helped launch the concept and will continue guiding the culinary team through this new chapter. Over the past decade, Chef Thomas has built experience across more than 10 restaurants, including Maria Maria, Carlos Santana’s celebrated restaurant, and Indigo Grill in San Diego, later stepping into leadership roles at Table 35 and Capitol Kitchen.

“OKIBI was created to introduce a dining concept that feels both dynamic and welcoming for our Guam community,” said Lisa Diaz, Director of Food & Beverage at LeoPalace Resort Guam. “We’ve blended the bold, shared experience of Asian streetfood culture with the comfort of a resort setting, creating something fresh and exciting for our guests.”

The restaurant officially opens to the public with a Grand Opening celebration on Sunday, March 1, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Guests are invited to gather their friends, step into the vibrant new space, and experience the fire-inspired flavors that define OKIBI.
