Boonie Stomps: March 25, April 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29
Every Saturday, Guam Boonie Stompers offers public hikes to a variety of destinations such as beaches, snorkeling sites, waterfalls, mountains, caves, latte sites, and World War II sites. We meet at 9:00 AM in the Center Court of Chamorro Village in Hagatna. The cost is $2.00 for hikers over 12. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Hikers should provide their own transportation. Guam’s trails are not developed. Weather conditions can make the hikes more difficult than described. No reservations required. Southern Mts. To Inarajan
7 hours for 13 miles
Our half-marathon hike! We hike from Mt. Jumullong-Manglo along the southern mountains, then descend to Inarajan Falls and finally out to Inarajan village.
Bring: 4 quarts water, sturdy shoes, gloves, sun screen, lunch and snacks, swimsuit, and camera.
Special conditions: Swordgrass, little shade, steep hills, and a seriously long hike.
5 hours for 4 miles
We hike to the scenic bay to snorkel and explore the old Spanish bridge, Spanish oven, and ancient Chamorro latte. Then we can visit some waterfalls
Bring: 2 quarts water, swim suit, snorkel gear, gloves, insect repellent, sun screen, sunglasses, lunch, and camera.
4 hours for 2 miles
We visit an isolated southeastern area containing cliffs, dry caves, and two wet caves with underground pools.
Bring: 2 quarts water, hiking shoes, gloves, flashlight, sun screen, insect repellent, lunch, and camera.
Special conditions: Walking on rough sharp rocks, climbing in caves, mosquitoes, scratchy vegetation.
Moonie Stomp - Macajna
2.5 hours for 2 miles
We follow mostly paved road along a ridge top, visit the KAL Memorial, and end at an outstanding viewpoint overlooking the whole central and northern island. This is perfect family hike.
Bring: Flashlight, 1 quart water, insect repellent, snack, and camera. Meet at 5:30pm at the Chamorro Village.
5 hours for 4 miles
We descend the northeastern cliff to the coastline and head north for a view of the massive landslide from the 1993 earthquake.
Bring: 4 quarts water, sturdy shoes, sun screen, insect repellent, lunch and snacks, and camera.
Special conditions: Hiking over rough rocks, thick vegetation, a long hike, and a long ascent.
Umatac to Toguan Bay
3 hours for 1.5 miles
This is an Earth Day cleanup hike. We enjoy this scenic coastal walk while cleaning up the coastline. At Toguan Bay, we can swim, snorkel or scuba dive.
Bring: 2 quarts water, hiking boots, swim suit, snorkel gear, sun screen, sunglasses, insect repellent, lunch, and camera.
Atillong Acho to Sella Bay
4 hours for 3 miles
We hike over the two huge black rock hills with good views the whole way, then out to the coastline at the head of Cetti Bay. then north to Sella Bay.
Bring: 3 quarts water, good shoes, gloves, sun screen, insect repellent, lunch, camera, swimsuit, and snorkel gear.
Special conditions: Very steep slopes, sword grass, little shade

1) Alcohol and hiking do not mix.
2) Do not bring beverages with caffeine on hikes.
3) Bring plenty of water with you on hikes.
