Blomenkamp was the first to respond to an F-15 Eagle nose gear mishap during Exercise Cope North 2014. He coordinated the reconfiguration of the aircraft arresting system on the alternate runway.

He supervises and ensures safety standards and contractor compliance for $96 million worth of airfield maintenance contracts.

Blomenkamp founded Andersen Air Force Base's first Airman skateboard club and also became the 36th OSS intramural soccer coach.

Blomenkamp assisted in providing airfield driving training to more than 1,000 Exercise Cope North 2014 members.
