ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- An NCO assigned to the 36th Wing was recognized as part of the top 40 under 40 military members class of 2015 on Veterans Day.

Tech. Sgt. Brian Misuraca, 36th Wing Advanced Programs Office security manager, was selected from thousands of nominees from all services.

"It's an honor and humbling experience to be able to be recognized for all the work I've done," Misuraca said. "Being able to be in the top 40 under 40 is awesome, I strive to put the best effort in everything I do and this recognizes that."

The top 40 under 40 military is released annually by civilian.com, one of the largest web based military focused recruiting firm in the U.S.

Before being assigned the task of program security manager, Misuraca's primary job was aircrew flight equipment. With the large annual exercises that occur such as Cope North and Valiant Shield, Misuraca assumed responsibility of troops from various branches throughout the Asia-Pacific. His accomplishments as an aircrew flight equipment technician landed him a spot in 40 under 40.

"Misuraca is an outstanding member of the Air Force and a natural selection for the 40 under 40 award," said Capt. Carl Morlock, 36th Operations Support Squadron aircrew operations flight commander. "He has a natural ability, desire and drive that gets above expectation results quickly."

Being chosen as a 2015 top 40 under 40 winner isn't Misuraca's only accomplishment this year, he was also selected to attend Officer Training School and will be leaving Andersen to commission into the contracting career field March 2016.

"I will definitely continue to strive to do my best at everything I do when I cross over to being an officer, my accomplishments thus far as an enlisted NCO will carry over to my new position," Misuraca said. "I am grateful to my leadership and my mentors as well as the 40 under 40 program for this great recognition."
