It took me two attempts to find this place. Don’t get discouraged; it’s worth the adventure and trauma. Once you get here you’ll never get lost again! They could put a sign board on the sidewalk that you could see while driving around. Someone told me to get a GPS. Whatever!

Whenever I find myself driving in Barrigada on Purple Heart Highway I tend to slow down to glance at Nit’s Thai Cuisine to see if there are any parking slots. I did find a parking space today at lunch and was delighted to find out that there was plenty of seating available inside Nit’s.

It was a late lunch and I had actually planned on getting a bowl of Pho but discovered that Pho had since closed and I wasn't in the mood for Thai. So I walked next door to the House of Brutus and decided to have a burger. But which one?
 

We recently had this week where I ate “local” and Zee ate “healthy.”

There are some places on Guam that one should not miss - one of those places is Poki-Fry House. I am probably one of a small handful of people who had not yet tried Poki-Fry House until recently. I was "challenged" to go try it by Chef Peter Duenas, whose brother Bryan is Poki-Fry House's Operations Manager.

This was my first time eating at Happiness Chinese Restaurant. I’ve seen it and was supposed to eat there a number of times during previous Saipan trips. I’m glad we finally got acquainted. There must be something special about this place. It has several private rooms and a bar with a surprisingly extensive wine selection.
