I have always been a BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, & Tomato) lover and have been mostly disappointed when I see a BLT on a menu and then try it. For me, it's a matter of "seeing is Believing" and that's actually what happened while I was imbibing at Saipan's most famous watering hole (I didn't say notorious)!

Well they've done it again! Done what you say? The Pacific Star Resort & Spa's culinary team proved it could be done with their Wednesday All You Can Eat Dim Sum buffet so they put their collective heads together and wondered, what is the next most popular food everyone would want to eat if it is tasty enough and you have a lot of it?

When asked to recommend a good place to get ramen, the first on my list is Menkui Ramen. There are other good ramen houses on Guam, however, I appreciate the simplicity of Menkui’s ramen. They don’t need add-ins and extras to their ramen better. It’s all about the broth and the noodles. Both are excellent at Menkui.

Here I was in Saipan and had a chance to spend a little casual time with my good friend, Gabriele Colombo, Executive Chef of the Hyatt Regency Saipan. We had stopped by the DFS Saipan's Galleria which was celebrating its 40th Anniversary and they had a VIP Soiree which the Hyatt Regency Saipan had catered.

If there is one thing that Manhattan excels in, it is providing a high quality dining experience for their guests. I finally had the opportunity to explore a new offering at Manhattan which is their introduction of Black Mountain Aged Angus Beef.

It has been far too long since I last visited Uri Jip Restaurant! Mama Chang was surprised and happy to see me when I walked in for lunch. She then chastised me for being gone for over a year or two! The island is full of Korean restaurants and everyone who likes Korean food has their favorite.
